2020 Vision: Mid-Cycle Report

The Mid-Cycle Report demonstrates the  NJIT community’s commitment to the implementation and assessment of our original 2020 Vision which is the product of many voices. I offer my sincere gratitude to all who have contributed to the strategic plan thus far and continue to guide the accomplishments of NJIT in education, research, service, and economic development. We have embarked on the demanding venture of self-improvement that involves all stakeholders in the NJIT community — administration, faculty, staff, students, trustees, and alumni. This Mid-Cycle Report highlights our achievements and acknowledges our remaining challenges. 

Even as we work together to achieve the goals of 2020 Vision, I think of the long journey.   Re-envisioning the future does not end. In 2018, we will begin crafting the new strategic plan beyond 2020. That strategic plan will set new goals carrying us through the end of our next Middle States accreditation cycle and beyond.

Building a great university will take us on a journey toward the frontiers of science and technology, and toward economic initiatives to benefit people throughout our region and our nation. Together the NJIT community has made tremendous progress; together we will go even further toward creating our unique place in higher education.
