The program serves the needs of professionals who want a more generalized advanced degree to help them progress into management positions in technology-based firms. This program takes advantage of NJIT's considerable strength in technology. The program is a 48-credit, 18-month-long program that includes a course entitled "Global Competitiveness." As part of the course, students participate in a foreign study tour, a 10-day international learning experience. This fall students will travel to China and Hong Kong to meet executives in leading Asian firms. Classes begin September 25. Classes meet only Fridays and Saturdays. "It typically takes 18 months to complete the program," says Frank Koe, director of this executive MBA program. All open houses will be held at NJIT on the third floor of the Central Avenue Building, Summit Street and Central Avenue, 6-8 p.m., June 11, July 9 and July 25. The program recognizes the experience of working professionals and strives to integrate and expand their view of business, technology, leadership and human interaction. "Cybernetics can exist to improve our lives, not complicate them," says Koe. "One of the greatest challenges in business is to simplify." Corporations such as Johnson & Johnson, Verzion, IBM and Prudential have participated in the program. Courses focus on quantitative and decision-making models, strategic management, human capital management, information technology, business economics, business law and corporate finance. NJIT is a public, scientific and technological research university enrolling
more than 8,800 students. The university offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees to students
in 80 degree programs throughout its six colleges: Newark College of Engineering, New Jersey School
of Architecture, College of Science and Liberal Arts, School of Management, Albert Dorman Honors
College and College of Computing Sciences. The division of continuing professional education offers
adults eLearning, off campus degrees and short courses. Expertise and research initiatives include
architecture and building science, applied mathematics, biomedical engineering, environmental
engineering and science, information technology, manufacturing, materials, microelectronics,
multimedia, telecommunications, transportation and solar astrophysics. Yahoo! Internet
