Terzano earned her Bachelor of Architecture, Magna Cum Laude and Master of Science in Management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). Terzano was employed as a summer intern for the Hillier Group, Princeton. In 1997, Donna permanently joined Hillier as an architectural intern. Now, an associate in the firm's higher education practice group, Donna is contributing design services and organizational initiative on several high profile and award-winning projects, including the Princeton Public Library, the Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library at Howard University, the Mt. Holyoke College Art Building and the St. Louis Public Library. During the early phases of the Princeton Public Library project, Donna surveyed existing site conditions, attended neighborhood and planning board meetings and met with the client to discuss program, schedule and design issues. During the Design Development and Construction Document phases, her primary responsibilities included exterior building details and structural coordination. In addition, she played a pivotal role in coordinating the consultant team, as well as acting as the design team's clearing-house for project information. Donna has assumed a leadership role within Hillier's sizable intern community. She is a co-founder of the firm's in-house Intern Development Program. Under her leadership, The Hillier Intern Program (HIP) has grown significantly over the last four years and offers numerous resources for all interns. Donna currently serves as HIP's Chairperson. During the course of the last four years, HIP has evolved into a comprehensive program that includes reading materials relating to the sixteen IDP core competency categories, a website located on the firm's intranet, ARE study guides, a strong curriculum of events and seminars, a network of mentors, annual reviews courses and support from peers and leadership groups throughout the firm. Donna's virtually unlimited energy and enthusiasm does not stop here. She also finds the time for many other professional and community activities, including; Central New Jersey AIA Trustee; Hillier Professional Development Committee Member; Hillier Recruitment Representative; Hillier Technical Advisory Council; Education Practice Group Representative; Route 1 Redevelopment Project Volunteer; Alumni Representative, NJIT Class of 1998, School of Architecture; Hillier Career Day Volunteer; Team Organizer, Construction; Vice President of Public Relations and more. NJIT is a public, scientific and technological research university enrolling
more than 8,800 students. The university offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees to students
in 80 degree programs throughout its six colleges: Newark College of Engineering, New Jersey School
of Architecture, College of Science and Liberal Arts, School of Management, Albert Dorman Honors
