Past Presidents of New Jersey Institute of Technology
- Robert A. Altenkirch began serving as president of NJIT, July 1, 2002.
- Saul K. Fenster was president of NJIT from 1978- 2002.
- William Hazel served as NJIT president from 1970 -1975.
- Robert Van Houten was acting president of NJIT from 1947 until 1950 when the board of trustees named him president. He served until 1970.
- Allan R. Cullimore began, in 1920, as the director of the former Newark Technical School (NTS). In 1927, Cullimore turned NTS into Newark College of Engineering (NCE). The title remained such until 1975, when NCE became NJIT.
- Daniel Hodgdon served as the director of Newark Technical School from 1918-1920.
- Charles A. Colton was the founding director of Newark Technical School and served from 1885-1918.
