Safety Tips For Mail Deliveries

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is asking people to look for the following in their mail.

  • Misspelled words.
  • Addressed to a position title only, not a name.
  • Address with a wrong position title.
  • Address badly typed or hand-written.
  • No return address.
  • Lopsided or bulky.
  • Strange odor.
  • Oily stains or discoloration.
  • Wrapped with an excessive amount of tape or string.
  • Excessive postage.
  • Restrictive markings, such as personal.

Suspicious mail should be isolated in a secure location or placed in a plastic bag. Leave and secure the room, wash your hands and call ext. 3111.
