Henry A. Mauermeyer, Senior Vice President for Administration and Treasurer

Henry Mauermeyer holds bachelor's and master's degrees fron NJIT.  He has a 29-year career with the university, starting in 1976 as budget director, controller and treasurer. He served as vice president for administration and treasurer from 1985 to 1997 before becoming senior vice president for administration and treasurer. He is responsible for financial and administrative functions, including the Departments of Finance, Budget, Fiscal Planning, Internal Audit, Physical Plant, Security, Facilities Planning and Construction.

He serves as treasurer to the Board of Trustees and assistant treasurer of the Board of Overseers. He also holds posts on a number of state and community boards, including: the New Jersey Presidents' Council Budget and Finance Committee; the Financial Advisory Committee for the Commission on Higher Education, Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and WBGO. He serves as vice chair and treasurer of the Board of Directors of Newark Public Radio; vice chair and treasurer of  Newark YMWCA, and treasurer of the board of Housing New Jersey. He is a frequent member of accreditation teams for Middle States including several international assignments.

During his career at NJIT, the university budget has grown from $15 million to $221 million, and the physical plant has expanded from 800,000 gross square feet to 2.6 million gross square feet. He has overseen the financing and construction of some two dozen building projects during his tenure.
