Founded in 1919, the Newark College of Engineering (NCE), http://engineering.njit.edu/ enrolls about 55 percent of the NJIT student body. NCE continues to adapt its curriculum to emerging technologies to prepare its students for an ever-changing marketplace. In recent decades, as a complement to a historically excellent educational orientation, a strong focus on research and the construction of state-of-the-art facilities have made NCE an active participant in technological advancement and the development of technology-based enterprise.  Research concentrations include wireless, transportation, nanotechnology, microelectronics, engineered particulates, micro-flow control, membranes, environmental engineering, and polymers.
