Thom Mayne to deliver keynote at Commencement 2008
Thomas Mayne, renowned architect, will receive NJIT’s honorary doctorate of humane letters and offer the commencement address at the university’s graduation ceremony at Prudential Arena on May 17, 2008.This is the first commencement ever held at the new landmark arena.
Mayne is the principal of Morphosis, an architectural firm established in the 1970's and known for its culturally-connected designs.
Mayne attended the University of Southern California and the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and helped found the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-ARC) in 1972.
In 2005, Mayne received the Pritzker Prize -- one of the world's premier architectural awards.
