Jacob Javits Convention Center Expansion and Renovation, New York, NY: Ms. Czesak is currently serving as a Co-Director on the $1.2 Billion Expansion of the existing Jacob Javits Convention Center. Built in 1986, the existing center will be expanded to include additional Expo Space, expanded Meeting and Conference Room facilities, and a state of the art multi level Truck Marshalling facility.
Alvin Ailey New American Dance Center, New York, NY: Ms. Czesak served as Project Executive on the construction of a 8-story, 77,000 square-foot structure containing 12 dance studios, two of which will convert into a 300-seat black box auditorium space for performances. The facility includes administrative offices, library archives, an audio production studio, student lounges and locker rooms. The cutting-edge design includes large windows on the ground and upper floors, allowing the public to observe the Ailey dancers practicing their craft. Special care was given to the custom designed spring dance floors installed in all of the studios.
Judy and Arthur Zankel Hall, Carnegie Hall, New York, NY: As Project Executive, Ms. Czesak oversaw the construction of the new theater underneath Carnegie Hall. The Judy and Arthur Zankel Hall houses the 688-seat, 41,000-square foot Judith Arron Auditorium, and serves as a forum where students, young professionals, and established performers can engage in a multitude of music-related activities.
Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY: Ms. Czesak served as Theatre Project Executive on the construction of this multi-purpose facility. The scope included several venues, including studios for artists in residence; a suite of sophisticated experimental spaces; a 1,200-seat auditorium; a 400-seat recital hall; a series of "black box" theaters ranging from 100 to 200 seats; audiovisual production studios; a dance studio; music practice rooms; and administrative office space.
Harlem Children's Zone, New York, NY: The project involved the construction of a 6-story building located on 125th Street and Madison Avenue. The 90,000-square foot facility houses a charter middle school, baby college, gymnasium, and administrative offices. Mr. Czesak served as Project Executive.
Deloitte & Touche: Ms. Czesak served as Project Executive for the office fit-out at four locations, including Jericho, NY, 1 World Financial Center, 2 World Financial Center and Stamford, CT.
WWE New York, New York, NY: Mr. Czesak served as Project Executive on the construction of the 480-seat theme restaurant located in the 46,500-square foot space basement of a landmarked building at 1501 Broadway. The existing basement slab was lowered seven feet, and three structural columns were removed to make way for the new dance floor configuration. A total of 1,000 cubic yards of bedrock were removed from the building, which had extremely challenging site logistics due to the lack of direct street access. The site is located in an existing, 30-story, occupied building. The project included audio/visual equipment for a production studio. Extensive utility work and M/E/P relocations were performed, without disruption to existing tenant services.
Merrill Lynch Cafeteria and Kitchens, New York, NY: Ms. Czesak served as Project Executive for the build out of a large food-service facility for Merrill Lynch. This project involved the renovation of an 18,000-square foot facility that includes a cafeteria and kitchens. The renovation is being phased in order to maintain ongoing operations.
J.P. Morgan World Headquarters, New York, NY: In addition to constructing the base building for this 52-story office complex, Tishman assisted the owner in coordinating the tenant work for all interior spaces, including the employee cafeteria, executive offices, trading floors and support areas. The complex was built on an extremely congested mid-block site in Manhattan’s financial district, which required the assembly of a detailed scheduling and logistics program, so as not to disrupt the area’s pedestrian and commuter traffic.
