Student Activities
Students can get connected through a variety of annual programs, our featured Fall 2006 programs: Highlander Welcome Days - A two-week long celebration starts the new academic year with barbeques, performers, and entertainment. New and returning students can look forward to our annual Pancakes with the President event, Club Fair, and welcome receptions hosted around campus. New Student Celebration - A weekend of friendly and silly competitions and entertainment help our newest students get to know one another. NJIT Day - Students and their families, along with NJIT faculty and staff, join together for a weekend of outdoor activities, music, building dedications, entertainment, and our third annual Highlander Games. Join us for NJIT Day 2006 on October 7, 2006 - more information will be available online at http://njitday.njit.edu! Diversity Themed Programs - Cultural, educational, and social activities celebrate the many cultures represented at NJIT. The Campus Center is proud to co-present Hispanic Heritage Month, Black History Month, Women's History Month each year. We also help support cross-cultural events and forums. NJIT College Bowl Tournament - Compete in the NJIT tournament on a four-person team for a chance to compete in the regional tournament in February. Contact Joseph Rios, College Bowl Coordinator, for updated information on upcoming tournaments International Student Coffeehouses - Featuring NJIT student organizations as hosts, the International Student Coffeehouses allow our international students opportunities to find fun, fellowship and of course food - with visiting speakers and presentations relevant to the US experience.
