Instant Decision Days for Fall 2012 Transfer Students

What's New at NJIT NJIT is looking forward to an exciting academic year.  The university continues to grow by offering new programs in Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Business and Information Systems, Communication and MediaComputational Sciences, Computing and Business, Concrete Industry Management Technology , Digital DesignFine Arts, Industrial Design, Interior Design, and Medical Informatics Technology.  NJIT also offers K-12 Teacher Certification in math, sciences, and liberal arts disciplines in cooperation with Rutgers-Newark Campus.

NJIT is expanding offerings in the health professions with new programs in Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant.  These two programs allows students to complete a six-year BS/DPT program leading to a BS degree from NJIT and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (BS/DPT) or a Master of Science in Physician Assistant (BS/MSPA) from UMDNJ School of Health Related Professions.

Tuition and Financial Aid  With the growth and innovation occurring on campus, tuition is still affordable and there are many financial aid opportunities. About eighty percent of students are offered and accept some form of financial aid at NJIT.  Through scholarships and grants, loans and work-study, NJIT students are getting an exceptional education at affordable rates.

Scholarships  There are a variety of scholarship opportunities for transfer students.

Transfer Orientation  NJIT encourages all admitted transfer students to attend a transfer orientation.  Students can meet with their advisors, get transfer credit and register for classes at orientation.  

Articulation Agreements  NJIT has numerous articulation and joint admissions agreements with community colleges in New Jersey.   The joint admissions program allows a student to enroll at a community college and complete the appropriately designated associate degree program. Students can then transfer to NJIT in order to complete their bachelor's degree. Admission to NJIT is guaranteed for students who complete their degree and maintain at least a 2.00 GPA.

Transfer Credit from New Jersey Community colleges  Students who transfer to NJIT from any New Jersey county college should review the Comprehensive State-Wide Transfer Agreement for guidelines concerning transferability of credits from New Jersey public community colleges to NJ public four-year institutions.

Residence Life  Over 1400 students live on campus in four co-ed residence halls.  Students interested in living on campus should contact the Office of Residence Life.
