Peer Advisor Liaisons (PALs)

PALs are the Peer Advisor Liaisons for the Advising Success Center, and they will assist with any questions students may have about advising.

“We are students looking to help our campus peers by being available to provide quality resource information related to curriculum, majors, and NJIT advising policies and processes in an encouraging atmosphere.”

Meet the PALs

Tiffany Johnson

Major: Architecture

What I like about NJIT:

I like NJIT because it is a small campus, so it isn't easy for me to get lost. I like how it is close to my hometown & New York City, making it convenient to get to those places.

Mike Piazza

Major: Information Technology

What I like about NJIT:

I graduated from Lawrence High School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. I love to Ultimate Frisbee and I used to be on a team. I enjoy swimming and water polo.

Rocco Riccardo

Major: Information Technology

What I like about NJIT:

I personally love NJIT because the campus is practically run by students. There are so many opportunities for student involvement in all aspects of the campus, and it really is refreshing to see the hand of the student body guiding what we see happening on a daily basis.

Anthony Romano

Major: Architecture

What I like about NJIT:

I was born and raised in Nutley, New Jersey and I am the youngest of three boys. I had an amazing time my first year at NJIT where I made many close friends, maintained a high GPA, and I joined ΣΠ fraternity.

Alfredo Silva

Major: Architecture

What I like about NJIT:

I chose to come to NJIT because it was close to my town and also it is an ideal location for an architecture student. I like the diversity of the campus because it becomes a major resource to learn about cultures worldwide.

Gursimran Singh

Major: Information Technology and       Science, Technology & Society

What I like about NJIT:

I love NJIT for a couple reasons. The campus is very diverse and full of culture. Also, its a small and easy commute, making the campus easily accessible.

Yasmine El Garhi

Major: Computing in Business

What I like about NJIT:

NJIT has been a home to me since 2002 after attending the Pre-College Programs. After graduating from Union City High School, I chose NJIT to lead me into becoming a successful business woman in technology. I hope to make a presence at NJIT by helping others become independent and empowered as NJIT has done for me.

Lemuel Wilson

Major: Information Technology

What I like about NJIT:

I like NJIT because it is very supportive of the Greek Community. Other universities make active attempts to damage their Greek Life due to the stigma associated with them and an apparent lack of understanding. Greek Life at NJIT is what it is supposed to be about: Leadership and Service.

Christina Sanchez-Abreu

Major: Interior Design

What I like about NJIT:

I was born and raised in Jersey City so it made transitioning to NJIT easier due to its location. I like NJIT because it has one of the best Interior Design Programs in the area and it is close to home. The size of the campus makes it easier to be involved with difference organizations and be familiar with a number of people on campus.

What I like about NJIT:

The opportunities for student involvement at NJIT as well as its convenient location near NYC and home has allowed me to make so many great friendships and memories. I also really like the research opportunities offered by our campus because they can take your education to a whole new level
