T.J. O’Malley and Stan Pasternak were planning to represent our class at our 70th reunion, but at the last minute, T.J. was unable to make it. Although Stan was the sole representative of our class, he and his wife Marie were not alone for a second. They found that alumni of all ages were eager to meet them and compare notes on life at NCE over the decades.
They stayed in the dorms and thoroughly took pleasure in all of the festivities on Friday night and on Saturday, including the kickoff cocktail reception in Eberhardt Hall, a campus tour, two faculty lectures, a tour of historic Newark, and the dinner dance. They especially enjoyed a chance to spend a little time with the students who so ably ran the reunion, and with Bob Altenkirch, President of NJIT, and his wife, Beth.
Stan and Marie are pictured above after Stan received his prize from the President for representing the most senior class at the reunion. His prize was accompanied by a standing ovation from all 220 alumni and guests in the room.
