A Reunion Weekend to Remember –May 21-23, 2010

It was truly a euphoric Reunion weekend, from the moment alumni were greeted by smiling students in a golf cart on Friday afternoon to Sunday morning when the last attendees were waved off after coffee and bagels. Too bad so many missed it!  Two classmates attended, Walter Kraft and Bill Piegari.

Retuning alumni were astonished by the campus, from newly restored Eberhardt Hall where we held our kickoff cocktail reception, to the sparkling new Campus Center where we had our dinner dance on Saturday Night.  In between there were campus tours led by students, a lecture by Maurie Cohen, an NJIT faculty member, a garden party at the historic mansion now occupied by President Bob Altenkirch and his wife, Beth, a guided bus tour of Newark, a terrific Alumni Awards Ceremony and a great deal of good eating and drinking.

On Saturday night, the Altenkirchs, hosted a cocktail reception before dinner.   As soon as dessert was consumed, the band started up in earnest, and some did their best to show the young ones what they have to look forward to.
