A 30th  Reunion  to Remember

May 21-23, 2010

It was truly a exciting Reunion weekend, from the moment alumni were greeted by smiling students in a golf cart on Friday afternoon to Sunday morning when the last attendees were waved off after coffee and bagels. Too bad so many missed it! Four classmates attended, Bob Fairclough, Arleen Peloso, Dave Winder and Hans Roessler, Jr., and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Retuning alumni were astonished by the campus, from newly restored Eberhardt Hall where we held our kickoff cocktail reception, to the sparkling new Campus Center where we had our dinner dance on Saturday Night.  In between there were campus tours led by students, a lecture by Maurie Cohen, an NJIT faculty member, a garden party at the historic mansion now occupied by President Bob Altenkirch and his wife, Beth, a guided bus tour of Newark, a terrific Alumni Awards Ceremony and a great deal of good eating and drinking.

On Saturday night, the Altenkirchs, hosted a cocktail reception before dinner.   As soon as dessert was consumed, the band started up in earnest, and some did their best to show the younger ones what they have to look forward to.
