Class of 1997

And our 15th reunion
Saturday, May 19th, 2012

One can only describe our stage of life as totally overwhelming.  We are at crucial stages in our careers, and many of us have kids.  So why would we come to NJIT Day to celebrate our 15th Class Reunion?

Because, as the saying goes, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.“ NJIT alumni know that their fellow graduates are well trained, so when they are looking to hire, the alumni network is often the first place they go to.  NJIT Day is a great opportunity to network.

And besides, it’s going to be fun.  Sometimes the combination of business and pleasure can be a good thing, so Wwe will start out with an afternoon networking event wrapped around a wine tasting.   Then on to:

  • A cocktail party with open bar.
  • Alumni Achievement Awards to five alumni who are leaders in their field.
  • A Casino night with a buffet.
  • An after-party for those of us who are still going, and a special event just for our classmates if we want it.

Does our class have some “honorary” classmates?  (Or are you really an “honorary” classmate of another class?

Many NJIT Alumni have said that they feel more connected to a class different from their “official” one, usually because they graduated a semester or two later than the friends they were at school with.  If you or any of your friends feel that way, please send an email to and let us know what your “preferred” class is.

The Class Reunion Committee.  We could really use your help in planning and contacting classmates…we can use as much or as little time as you have to give.  If you are willing to pitch in, please email and we will get back to you.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar…Saturday, May 19, 2012.

See you then.
