October 2007

• Friday, October 5, 2007 -- Annual New Jersey soccer reunion and game.  Play began around 6:00 p.m. on Lubetkin Field and was followed by a reception in the Highlander Club.

• Friday, October 12, 2007 -- The soccer/basketball alumni golf outing was held at the Newton Golf Club hosted by Bob Welgos '62.

February 2008

• The Newark Ironbound Express soccer team, one of 63 teams that comprise the United Soccer Leagues (USL) Premier Development League, will play their home games on NJIT’s Lubetkin Field beginning in May 2008. Ironbound Express President Joseph Branco ‘74, an NJIT soccer alumnus, made the announcement at a press conference at NJIT on Feb. 8.  (Click here for more information.)
