BBSO TOUR and LUNCH

Big Bear Solar Observatory - Sept 28, 2013

                 This event is sold out!

Alumni are invited to visit Big Bear Solar Observatory!

The last time NJIT’s Big Bear Solar Observatory was open to Alumni was on Saturday, October 15, 2011.  It was a special day and those who attended had a great time – learning, networking and enjoying the beautiful Big Bear setting.

Dr. Phil Goode, Distinguished Professor at NJIT and director of both BBSO and the Center for Solar-Terrestrial Research has offered to open his Solar Observatory again for Alumni to tour.  The Observatory has been closed to the public this summer due to an NST installation so our group will be one of the first to see what BBSO and the NST are up to!

Don’t miss this chance to enjoy a tour, solar observations and lunch on

            Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 10:00 am - 2:30 pm.

NJIT President, Dr. Joel S. Bloom will also be on hand to meet you.

Registration is closed!

Additionally, if you plan on arriving Big Bear on Friday, some alumni are planning a dinner at a local restaurant - TBD.  Please let the Office of Alumni Relations know if you wish to join the group.  (973)  596- 3441.

There is a registration fee of $20 per person to defray the cost of lunch.
