Harvesting the enormous power of the tides to light New
York
City is a green and tantalizing vision that’s coming into focus thanks
to Richard Garber (left), assistant professor of architecture
at NJIT's College of Architecture and Design, and his student
Brian Novello. Their "Docking Stations" concept shows what
the future may look like. Garber and his NJIT students previously won accolades
for turning a temporary pedestrian walk-way
near Ground Zero into a work of public art.
