A Paid Deposit Opens the Door to NJIT
Your deposit ensures your acceptance is complete. For your convenience you may process this transaction online via http://tuitiondeposit.njit.edu.
Request a UCID: University Computing ID
You will need access to many different programs and systems while at NJIT. To access these systems you need to set up your UCID and create your password at https://newacct.njit.edu/~accts/cgi-bin/new.
Check your NJIT email
Once your UCID and password is active, check your NJIT email regularly (https://webmail.njit.edu/). Your email address is your UCID + @njit.edu.
Attend Connections Miniversity First Year Orientation
Upon receiving your deposit you will be invited by email to Connections Miniversity (CMV). CMV is a required interactive overnight orientation program. During the program, you will meet current NJIT students, faculty and staff and explore the academic and social skills necessary to be successful at NJIT. Student Disability Services
Students seeking housing or academic accommodations (such as additional test-taking time) due to a physical or learning disability or medical condition need to provide documentation and schedule an interview with the Disability Services Coordinator. Information and forms are located at http://www.njit.edu/counseling/services/disabilities.php.
Course Placement
Upon deposit all first year students will be placed in GUR (General University Requirement) courses based on SAT/ACT scores, high school academic performance, and curriculum requirements for specific majors.
Advanced Placement Tests
Make sure you have selected NJIT to receive all of your Advanced Placement Scores including any tests taken prior to your senior year.
Change of Major
If you were admitted to NJIT with a major you no longer wish to pursue, contact the Admissions Office (changeofmajor@njit.edu) by June 1 to have your request considered.
Complete Immunization and Physical Examination Requirements
All students must comply with state and NJIT requirements prior to the beginning of the academic year. Specific information is available: http://www.njit.edu/healthservices/immnunizations.php.
Provide Proof of Health Insurance
All students are required to have health insurance. If you are already insured, you can waive NJIT’s Health Insurance. Waivers must be completed by September 14, 2012. Complete information is located at: http://www.njit.edu/healthservices/health-insurance.php.
On-Campus Living
Information about campus housing and the online application is available at: http://www.njit.edu/reslife/. Applications received by May 1 are guaranteed housing.

Consider a Meal Plan
Meal plan options for both commuter and resident students can be located at:

Obtain a Parking Permit
Register to park your car on campus at http://www.njit.edu/parking/. You must have an active UCID in order to register.
Fall Tuition and Fee Bill
Your tuition and fee statement will be posted to your Highlander Pipeline account in early August. If you are not paying your bill yourself, you are responsible for setting up “Authorized Payers.” See the NJIT Bursar's website for more information: http://www.njit.edu/bursar/.

Purchase or Rent Textbooks in Advance
Students can order their textbooks online from our bookstore and have the books wrapped and ready for you in the fall. Please look for an email message with the subject: “How to get your class schedule” in August with instructions on how to order your books.
