You don't have to be an NJIT graduate to appreciate the work of our academic departments: hands-on training of talented young scholars; landmark faculty research; career preparation through internships and cooperative-education programs.
Our faculty serve both as educators and as researchers. Students benefit from their lectures and also from working alongside them, learning their techniques and thought processes. And it shows: while still earning their degrees, many of our students have made vital contributions to their fields, including a rehabilitative knee brace developed by Hamid Bagce ’07 and studies in binocular dysfunction by Jillian Nguyen ’08.
NJIT offers a wide variety of bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs in six colleges:
- Newark College of Engineering
- College of Science and Liberal Arts
- College of Architecture and Design
- School of Management
- Albert Dorman Honors College
- Ying Wu College of Computing Sciences
