What is a Planned gift?

A planned gift is any gift to NJIT through your will, charitable gift annuities, gift of life insurance or charitable trusts. It offers ways to help you achieve your philanthropic goals for NJIT while benefiting yourself and your family. Using a planned giving vehicle can combine your estate planning, financial and philanthropic objectives.

You can provide a lifetime income for yourself or a loved one.  Planned Gifts may be deferred, which means that NJIT will receive the economic benefit sometime in the future (after someone's life or after a term of years.) Planned Gifts may also be "now" gifts which benefit NJIT immediately, while possibly providing income to the donor during his/her lifetime.
