GEM Fellowships
- The National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science (GEM): Industry-academe consortium of about 90 nationally recognized research universities and historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs)
- About 75 industrial and national laboratory partners
- Eligibility: U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents from underrepresented minority groups defined as African American, Hispanic, or Native American.
- Internships provided at industrial members of the consortium
- Award: typically Master’s level stipend for 9 months and tuition and fees support in addition to the expected paid summer internship
- PhD Engineering / Science fellowships are also offered
- Application deadline: November 15. For early consideration, complete your application and provide your resume and unofficial transcript by October 1
- Applications (while the student is still an undergraduate) directly to the GEM Consortium .
Anthony Kahn Fellowship
- One recipient per year
- Full-time graduate student in the NJIT School of Management from an underrepresented minority group and a demonstrated need for financial assistance.
- Amount typically about $2,000 per year.
