Hackathon 2011

Create apps; win prizes.

NJIT's 24 hour Hackathon will took place from noon on Sat, Feb 5, to 4 pm on Sun, Feb 6 in Campus Center Ballrooms A and B.

Student teams competed against each other to develop apps using data from web APIs from NJIT and Elsevier.

The contest included building apps in three categories.  Overall, there will be three winners:

  • First place:  $1,500
  • Second place:  $1,000
  • Third place:  $500

Judges included NJIT computing science faculty members, as well as SciVerse developers at Elsevier.

All attendees were fed lunch, dinner, and midnight snack on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
