Re: Middle States Self-Study

At the present time, we are launching efforts to develop a Self-Study Report for a Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) accreditation visit during 2011-2012. This web site will contain resources and committee information so that the NJIT community may participate in our efforts to design and prepare our self study.

At the present time, NJIT is concurrently beginning the process of revising the University Strategic Plan for 2010-2015.  The work of revising the University Strategic Plan will be formed, in part, by efforts to develop our self study in preparation for our MSCHE accreditation visit.

A design for the strategic plan will be submitted in the spring of 2010 and reviewed by a MSCHE liaison. A draft of the Self-Study Report will be complete in the fall of 2011, with a final report submitted in January of 2012. During that spring, we will host a visit by the MSCHE evaluation team.

To meet these ends, we are now developing the membership of seven committees to design the self study, build a broad base for collaboration and review, and ready the draft and final report.

As the process continues, we will use this site to provide updates of our work as we document the many ways that we continue to strengthen our role as New Jersey’s Science and Technology University.
