NJIT Inaugurates Seventh President: Robert A. Altenkirch

WHAT: New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) will inaugurate Robert A. Altenkirch as the university’s seventh President.

WHEN: Friday, May 2, 3 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

WHERE: Tent on the NJIT Green, 323 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Newark, 07102

PARKING For Media Only: Media will park in a designated spot adjacent to the large white tent to be located on the NJIT Green. The parking will be directly behind the Guttenberg Information Technologies Center (GITC), Central Avenue and Lock Street.

DIRECTIONS For Motorists:

From Garden State Parkway:

Take exit 145 to Route 280 East, to Exit 13, First Street, Newark. At light, make right onto First Street. Follow to next traffic light, Central Avenue. Make left. Follow Central Avenue to Summit Street. Make Right. Guard at NJIT booth ahead will direct you to parking for media.

From New Jersey Turnpike:

Take Exit 15W to Route 280 West. After drawbridge, take Exit 14 B (Broad Street/King Blvd.). At ramp bottom, make left. Follow one block to stop sign. Make a left onto King Blvd. Follow four lights to King Blvd. and make a left onto Central Ave. Make the first left to Summit Street. Guard at NJIT booth directly ahead will direct you to parking for media.
