Freshman Cory Kuzmik pitched 1 2/3 innings of hitless relief, escaping a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the eighth inning, as the NJIT baseball team defeated the University of Indianapolis, 8-7, during the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic at Terry Park. The game marked the season opener for the Highlanders.
