NJIT Hosts Internet2 Day

The advanced networking capabilities of Internet2 and the ways it is being used by higher-education institutions across the U.S. was showcased at NJIT's Internet2 Day on April 22, 2005. The all-day event featured a panel discussion, demonstrations and presentations by NJIT faculty and staff. Frank Aversa (at left), network control and security manager, demonstrated Internet2's video conferencing capabilities. "Internet2 is a major evolution in the way people communicate, collaborate and exchange information, said David Ullman, associate provost and chief information officer. "It will have profound effects on teaching, learning, and research."
