The NJIT women's basketball team ranks 19th in the nation in scoring defense in NCAA Division II, according to rankings compiled by the NCAA through games of Jan. 22. The Highlanders, who are in their final season of competing at the Division II level, will face a schedule of NCAA Division I opponents starting next season.
