Professor Emeritus To Receive Mathematics Prize from National Cultural AssociationVladislav Goldberg, PhD, professor emeritus in the department of mathematical sciences, will receive the Mathematics Prize for 2006 from the National Cultural Association at an awards ceremony in November in Reggio Calabria, Italy.
Professor Named Associate Editor of International Journal
Paul G. Ranky, PhD, a professor in the department of industrial engineering, was named associate editor of Assembly Automation, a well-established international journal by Emerald Publishers in the UK.
Alumna Named To Who's Who of American Women
Rita Thornton, PhD, who received her doctorate in environmental science from NJIT and was the graduate student speaker at the May 2006 commencement ceremony, was selected to be in the 2007 edition of Who's Who of American Women.
Architecture Professor Appointed Assistant Editor of Multi-Volume Series on US Buildings
Gabrielle Esperdy, assistant professor at New Jersey School of Architecture, has been named assistant editor of the Buildings of the United States, a multi-volume series sponsored by the Society of Architectural Historians, and appointed to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Architectural Education, published by the Associate of Collegiate Schools of Architecture. She also received a grant from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts for her continuing research on "The Architectress in United States: Perceptions and Realities of Women in Practice Since WWII."
