Darlene Lamourt of Perth Amboy Joins NJIT Advancement Office

Darlene Lamourt, of Perth Amboy, has joined the development staff in the Advancement Office at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) as the new campaign director. Lamourt previously worked at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, first as associate director of development, corporate and foundation relations; then as associate director of development, faculty of arts and science and for Rutgers College.

Lamourt received a BS in international marketing from Pace University, and has extensive marketing and business development experience.

As campaign director, Lamourt will bring to closure the current campaigns to benefit the Albert Dorman Honors College Endowment Campaign and the Highlanders Athletics Campaign. She will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan for the next major comprehensive campaign for the university.

“It is an honor joining NJIT,” said Lamourt. “I am excited to be involved in the closing of the Honors and Highlanders campaign and developing a strategic plan for the next comprehensive campaign.  Launching the campaign will be a university-wide effort that promises to be the most successful campaign in NJIT history. I invite the community to keep a watchful eye in the upcoming months for exciting developments and events.”
