Garfield Resident Razmenka Lazoroska Honored as NJIT Outstanding Senior
Razmenka Lazoroska, of Garfield, received the Outstanding Senior Award from the Otto H. York Department of Chemical, Biological and Pharmaceutical Engineering at the 12th Annual Salute to Engineering Excellence sponsored by NJIT’s Newark College of Engineering (NCE). The event was held March 25, 2010 at NJIT.
In her three years at NJIT, Lazoroska has compiled an outstanding academic record. Her grade-point average is 3.96 and her professors describe her as a hard-working student who likes to solve challenging problems. She transferred here from Bergen Community College, where she earned an associate’s degree in engineering science. She made a smooth transition to NJIT. She belongs to three honor societies and is a member of the Society of Women Engineers. She has done class projects in kinetics and reactor design; process dynamics and control as well as engineering cost and control. She also worked on community service projects. She collected toys for orphaned children; did a book drive for African school children and helped raise money for families whose members have disabilities.
After she graduates, she hopes to work as a fragrance specialist in the cosmetics industry. She also plans to save enough money to one day start her own company.
