Newark Innovation Acceleration Challenge Finalists Present Projects; Four Winners Named

In the end, Anson Wilson (Mave), Harsh Mehta (T-Shirt Tech), Mario Rannamae (Elect Charge); and Daniel Cerone (WordHerd) were awarded Capital One Summer Innovation Acceleration Fellowships of $2000 each to help support them during the summer so that they can spend time working in the New Jersey Innovation Acceleration Center Entrepreneurial Learning Lab at the EDC. Prior to the competition, a team of small business bankers led by Greg Smith acted as mentors for the teams who were part of the Innovation Acceleration Club. NJIT judges were Associate Vice President of Technology Development Judith Sheft and EDC Executive Director Jerry Creighton; John Ason was a special guest judge. Also in attendance were NJIT President Robert A. Altenkirch, Senior Vice President for Research and Development Don Sebastian, and School of Management Acting Dean Robert English.
