NJIT and Raritan Valley CC Work Out New Transfer Agreements

NJIT and Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) in Branchburg entered into a new agreement today that will provide for the seamless transfer of RVCC students into NJIT.

The agreement will facilitate the transfer of students who receive an Associate of Science in Engineering Science from RVCC into various Bachelor of Science in engineering programs at NJIT’s Newark College of Engineering (NCE).

“This partnership will open new doors for our graduates who are interested in studying engineering. NJIT has an outstanding engineering program,” said RVCC President Casey Crabill.

“Raritan Valley students from the engineering science program who demonstrate strong backgrounds in math, science and communication and have good problem solving skills will be a welcome addition to the NJIT campus,” said M. Ala Saadeghvaziri, PhD, professor and associate dean, NJIT Newark College of Engineering.

Bachelor’s degree programs at NJIT covered under the agreement include biomedical engineering; chemical, biological and pharmaceutical engineering; civil and environmental engineering; computer engineering, electrical engineering; mechanical engineering; and industrial engineering.

RVCC students who have completed all necessary requirements will transfer to NJIT with full junior status.
