Humanities Department Announces Winners of Enid Dame Poetry Competition

The Humanities Department is pleased to announce the 2011 winners of the Enid Dame Poetry Competition. All winners will be honored in the fall semester and their work will be published in The Vector newspaper and the new online poetry magazine, Newark Review. Enid Dame was a poet, friend, and colleague at NJIT for many years. Congratulations to all the winners and many thanks to all entrants in the competition: First Prize: John Cassidy, “In Half Remembered Dreams”; Second Prize: Gissele Casco,“The American Dream Effect”; Third Prize: Yvonne Chen, “Duck Blessing” Honorable Mentions: Courtney Hughes, “Leaf”; Louise Pronstroller, “The Human Reign”; and John Kent, “Growing Fat.”
