Architecture Student Places Third in ACSA/AISC Steel Design Competition

Fifth-year architecture student Joann Kwan Lui has won third place in the 2010-2011 Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture/American Institute of Steel Construction Student Design Competition. Her project, "Botanical Gardens along the Arno," placed third out of 182 best project submissions from architectural schools across the U.S. The design will be exhibited at the ACSA 100th Annual Convention in Boston, MA. in March 2012, and at the American Institute of Architects National Convention in Washington, DC in May 2012. It will also be featured in Archive100.org and be part of the ACSA competition portfolio published later this year. Lui's project is from Associate Professor Stephen Zdepski’s Fifth Year Comprehensive Studio, 2010-11 in the undergraduate architecture program at NJIT.
