The Society for Technical Communication honored Nancy Coppola, a professor of English at NJIT and founding director of the Master of Science in Professional and Technical Communication program, in a ceremony at its annual conference in Sacramento, CA on May 17. Coppola, a senior member of the Society, was named a Fellow—one of the highest ranks that the Society confers upon a member. To be considered for election as a Fellow, members must have been previously inducted as an Associate Fellow. In addition, the member must have attained distinction in the field of technical communication.
