Mengchu Zhou, PhD, professor in the department of electrical and computer engineering, has been named a 2011 Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). In announcing the honor, the AAAS cited Zhou's "distinguished contributions to the field of Petri nets, discrete event systems, and their applications to manufacturing, transportation, workflow, disassembly, web services, and software design."
