NJIT Mourns the Loss of Longtime Benefactor William S. Guttenberg '44

William S. Guttenberg '44

The NJIT community mourns the loss of William S. Guttenberg ’44, a loyal and generous alumnus who spent his life, time, and fortune making the world a better place for people with physical limitations and those who are developmentally disabled. NJIT dedicated the Guttenberg Information Technologies Center in his honor in 1990. The university further recognized his support with an honorary doctorate, the Alumni Achievement and Outstanding Alumni awards, and with the Weston Medal. A service will be held on Feb. 21, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, NJ; 201-489-3800.
