MEDIA ADVISORY: NJIT To Host on Feb. 29 Largest-Ever Spring Career Fair

More than 150 employers will attend the NJIT Spring Career, Co-op and Internship Fair -- the largest ever at NJIT.  Employers will hire May graduates but also hire underclassmen for summer internships.  These internships often lead to full-time jobs.  Journalists are welcome to attend the fair and interview recruiters and students.   For more information, see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxfY206BPRo

WHO: Gregory Mass, executive director of NJIT Career Development Services, is available to discuss the job outlook for May graduates. “The job market is stronger than it’s been since 2008 and graduates of science and technology-based disciplines are in high demand,” said Mass.  Majors in demand include computer science, information technology, business information systems and computer and electrical engineering.”

WHEN: Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, from 12:30 to 5 p.m.

WHERE: Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center and Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.

BACKGROUND: Corporations attending the fair include GE, Colgate-Palmolive, Johnson & Johnson, Apple, and AT&T.  Government agencies include U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Transportation. Recruiters from an array of industries including IT consulting, financial services, engineering services, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and telecommunications will attend.
