NJIT Professor Recognized by Chemical Engineering Honor Society for Four Decades of Service

Angelo J. Perna, PhD, director of the Ronald E. McNair Post-baccalaureate Achievement Program at NJIT, was recognized last month by Omega Chi Epsilon, the chemical engineering honor society, for his dedicated service over the past four decades. Perna has served continuously as faculty advisor to the Eta Chapter at NJIT since 1968 and has served the national organization for almost 40 years starting with his election as National Vice President in 1974. He served for four years in this capacity and followed up as National President over the next four years; he served again as National President from 1992-1996.
