NJIT will participate in the 2012 Summer Food Service Program from July 2, 2012 to August 15, 2012.  The Summer Food Service Program is a federal program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Services.  All children 18 years of age and under who are enrolled in NJIT pre-college academic programs will receive the same free meal in accordance with a menu approved by the state agency regardless of race, color, national, origin, sex, disability or age.  Below are the income guidelines used for determining children’s eligibility for free meals.

SCALE IS BASED ON GROSS INCOME BEFORE DEDUCTIONS

Children who are part of households that receive food stamps or benefits under the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families are automatically eligible to receive free meal benefits at eligible program sites.
