Roberto Rojas-Cessa, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, has recently co-authored a new book on advanced Internet protocols. Advanced Internet Protocols, Services, and Applications presents a comprehensive technical overview and survey of advanced Internet protocols. These protocols are of interest for corporate networks and applications and they are usually deployed on commercial network equipment. Some of the included topics are IPv6, Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Anycasting, Virtual Private Networks, IP in mobility, and Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM). Professor Rojas-Cessa teaches ECE637 Internet and Higher Layers Protocols and ECE681 High Performance Routers and Switches, among other courses, in the ECE Department.
