NJIT Distinguished Professor Receives Patents

Yesheskel Bar-Ness, distinguished professor in the department of electrical and computer engineering, and Pan Liu, alumni, received US Patent 8,023,583 on Sept. 20, 2011 for "Method and /or System for Estimating Phase Noise Error."    His work with Zoran Latinovic, former graduate student, earned US Patent 8,040,787 on Oct. 18, 2011 for "Method and / System for Reduction of PAPR.”  Bar-Ness and Miao Shi, alumni, received US Patent 8,126,103 on Feb 28, 2012 for "Frame  Synchronization Method Using  Correlation  Between Permuted  Sequences."  For his work with Kodzovi Acolatse, alumni, US Patent 8,130,846 was issued on March 6, 2012 for "System and Medthod for Single- Carrier Space-Frequency Block Coded Transmission Over Frequency Selective and Fast Fading Channels."
