Architecture Professor and Students Present Design Research at National Convention

A group of faculty and students from the College of Architecture and Design were invited to present their design research last week at the 2012 Precast/Pre-stressed Concrete Institute's (PCI) Annual Convention and National Bridge Conference held in Nashville, Tennessee.  This event is the industry's premier national venue for the public dissemination of state-of-the-art innovative approaches to precast concrete design, fabrication, and construction.  Assistant Professor Matt Burgermaster was joined by students Christopher Daahler, Rana Karca, Pablo Lopez, and Michael Middleton to present the work of their Spring 2012 design studio, which focused on the use of emerging precast concrete technologies in custom high-performance architectural wall panels.  This work was exhibited and presented at a special conference session, along with four other university programs invited from across the country.
