A leader, executive and ambassador for business, Kumar has influenced collaboration between governments and the private sector. Prior to serving in the Obama Administration, he spent 30 years as an international businessman, consultant and professor of management. As a member of the President’s Sub Cabinet, Kumar influenced officials at the highest levels of US and foreign governments and established business-like effectiveness in government institutions. His hands-on, grass root operating style inspired trade-facing government agencies to put business first and coalesce behind job creation programs. During his tenure, he instilled the sense of urgency and focus that helped USFCS deliver record export results.
News commentator Steve Adubato will moderate a conference panel entitled “The One Percent Dilemma: America at an Economic Crossroads.”
