With the goal of increasing the enrollment and retention of women students of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) at NJIT, the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and Newark College of Engineering (NCE) have joined forces to develop a new mentorship program for women in STEM.  The SWE-NCE Mentorship Program will create a network in which high school students will be mentored by undergraduate students, undergraduates will be mentored by graduate students, who be mentored by faculty and industry partners. NCE Dean Sunil Saigal was the guest speaker at a Mentorship Mixer event that took place on November 15, 2012 in NJIT's Campus Center Atrium during which mentees and mentors established plans for their mentoring relationships for the remainder of the academic year.
