NJIT Professor Speaks at 2013 Advanced Energy Conference

Roberto Rojas-Cessa, associate professor of the department of electrical and computer engineering, was an invited speaker at the recent Advanced Energy Conference 2013 in New York.  Rojas-Cessa presented a new paradigm of a power grid where electrical energy is distributed in discrete amounts, controlling the distribution such that black outs may be avoided, along with other benefits.  He also discussed the application for powering data centers.  The presented work is an ongoing research project in collaboration with professor Haim Grebel and graduate students from the department of electrical and computer engineering.
