The College of Architecture and Design concluded yesterday’s 2013 NJIT morning commencement ceremony at the Prudential Center with an afternoon balloon launch and luncheon back on campus for grads, friends and relatives.  A separate college ceremony was also held to honor 20 outstanding architecture, art and design students.  Among the awardees:  School of Art + Design Medal for Rachel Corres (digital design); School of Art + Design Award Outstanding Service: Nora Hamade (interior design); Designer of Distinction for Digital Design: Breana Mallamaci; Designer of Distinction for Industrial Design: Kristen Ciandella; Designer of Distinction for Interior Design: Peter Fritzky.  Academic achievement awards also went to Mallamaci (digital design);  Kristen Ciandella and Tracy Wu (industrial design) and Peter Fritzky  (interior design).
