NJIT Structural Engineer Teaches Webinar on Design and Construction of Low-Rise Buildings
NEWARK, May 22 2013
Rima Taher, senior university lecturer at NJIT’s College of Architecture and Design, taught a live webinar yesterday on “Design and Construction of Low-Rise Buildings for High Winds and Hurricanes” for the Continuing Education Department of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Taher, who has her own engineering consulting practice in New Jersey, has written extensively about best building design and construction practices to reduce wind pressures on building surfaces and to resist high winds and hurricanes in residential or commercial construction.
